For every large-scale event organized by TNW, the content team is in charge of the entire program, from the themes and speakers to the specific speaking formats. As a team we create an experience jam-packed with valuable insights and inspiration for our attendees, designed to help them build a great future, both through their businesses and on a personal level.
Our day-to-day tasks include research into the latest trends, innovations and remarkable stories, as well as selecting the right speakers from hundreds of applications, outreach to speakers around the globe, and guiding speakers towards an amazing talk in the lead-up to the event. As a team, we work heavily on building an engaging community of thought-leaders around the world.
Previous speakers have included Julie Zhuo (VP of Design, Facebook), Tim Ferriss (Author, The 4-Hour Work Week), Jessica Walsh (Partner Sagmeister & Walsh), Casey Neistat and Kevin Kelly (Founder, WIRED).
Invitations: As part of your role, you will have the pleasure to invite a number of carefully selected creators and thinkers to speak at our events.
Communication: During the lead-up to each event, you will be in touch with speakers and their agents regularly, ensuring smooth communication from the moment they're confirmed as a speaker until they return home after the festival. This includes communicating deadlines, inviting them to special side events we organize around the event, answering questions and taking care of production tasks.
Research and curation: As part of the role you will also assist the content team in curating the speaker lineup, by helping to assess any speaker applications we receive and finding interesting speakers and stories related to the key themes for the next event.

What is in it for You?
As mentioned before, you’ll be an essential part of the organisation of one of the biggest leading technology and business events in the world. Our flagship event in Amsterdam brings together 15,000 attendees per day and reaches another 875K live stream viewers at homes worldwide.
Apart from TNW Conference 2019, we'll also be organising 2 additional international conferences in the second half of 2018 for you to work on. This also means you'll be doing a bit of travel with us this year.
You'll have an opportunity to connect with some of today's most relevant and interesting thinkers and creators in tech and innovation. Throughout your internship, you will learn to recognize trends and important developments in tech and digital, challenging the way today's greatest companies and creators approach innovation.
You’ll become a part of a warm and welcoming team based at TQ, TNW's tech hub in the heart of Amsterdam, which we share with some of the city’s fastest growing startups. Every Friday we have drinks on our sunny balcony and hang out in the “Smallest Disco in the World”. At TQ you can start off the day with yoga and play some ping-pong or badminton after your (free and healthy) lunch. Embracing deep work and flexibility, we occasionally work from home or a nearby cafe.
For all this, we offer good compensation while gaining important skills and work experience.
