We're looking for a rising star to join our growing team. Be prepared: this isn’t for the faint hearted - it's an opportunity to help take one of the biggest and most compelling tech festivals in the world to the next level.

For TNW Conference 2019, we're inviting more than 300 of the worlds greatest thinkers and most successful entrepreneurs to our home turf- Amsterdam. They'll be sharing their insights on the latest trends in tech and digital with our audience, in venues with some of the best production value around.

  • The Content Team is at the core of the Events Team. We’re in charge of the entire TNW Conference program- from speakers to workshops and roundtable sessions. However, we can't do this alone- on a daily basis we collaborate with other teams, such as Marketing, Design and Partnerships.
  • We're responsible for being at the forefront of the latest trends and technologies and programming this into the content of TNW conference. Our day-to-day tasks include anything from researching, reaching out, and briefing speakers; to production, event management and marketing. As a team, we work heavily on building an engaging community of thought-leaders around the world.
  • Previous speakers have included Piera Gelardi (Co-founder & CCO, Refinery29), Julie Zhuo (Head of Design, Facebook), Tim Ferriss (Author, The 4-Hour Work Week), Chase Jarvis (CEO, Creative Live) and Kevin Kelly (Founder, WIRED).

Your Responsibilities

  • As the Speaker Liaison, you are the main communicator of the team. You’ll be in touch with speakers and their agents on a daily basis- Inviting them to speak at TNW Conference, answering questions and arranging everything for their talks production-wise.
  • As part of that, you will also assist our research into emerging trends & technologies and help find whose pushing boundaries, doing groundbreaking research, and generally making awesome things happen. This means you will likely end your internship with a profound new knowledge of the technologies and people that dictate the future.

Your Profile

  • You are a 3rd or 4th-year student in the field of communication, marketing and/or event management.
  • Native or fluent written and spoken English.
  • Knowledge of the market: the Tech industry isn’t a stranger to you and you are up to date on the latest developments in the industry.
  • Top-notch writing skills and material to show for it.
  • You are not afraid to ask questions, comfortable with responsibility, and a proactive, independent worker.
  • You are so well organised that your friends wonder if you have OCD.
  • You want to grow and improve personally. You are ambitious and a risk-taker.
  • You enjoy selling an idea and love turning a no into a yes.
  • Most importantly, you are available to join us full-time from September 2018 until June 2019.

What is in for You?

  • As mentioned before, this is an opportunity to be a part of something: you’ll be an essential part of the organisation of one of the biggest leading technology and business events in the world. Our flagship event in Amsterdam brings together 15,000 attendees per day and reaches another 875K live stream viewers at homes worldwide.
  • Besides TNW Conference, we organise two International conferences in the second quarter of 2018. This means you get to travel with us during the internship.
  • Throughout your internship, you will be in direct contact with some of the greatest thought leaders and most successful entrepreneurs in tech, business and creativity. You’ll learn about the latest developments in the tech industry and who’s behind today’s most innovative and successful companies.
  • You’ll become a part of the most amazing, warm and welcoming Tech family. We’re based in TQ, our Tech Hub in the centre of Amsterdam we share with some of the city’s most promising startups. Every Friday we have drinks on our sunny balcony and hang out in the “Smallest Disco in the World”. At TQ you can start off the day with yoga and play some ping-pong or badminton after your (free, tasty and healthy) lunch. Embracing deep work and flexibility, we occasionally enjoy a remote working day at a nice cafe together, or we simply work from home.
  • For all this, we feel you deserve a stellar compensation while growing the skills you hope to learn.
