TNW is a leading international tech media company founded in 2006. We write technology news (millions of monthly visitors to thenextweb.com, host events (such as the TNW conference with 12.5k visitors), collect and analyze tech startup data as well as operate tech spaces in Amsterdam.

The role 

We're on the hunt for an ambitious and eager social media and community intern to come join TNW. Think you have what it takes? Come learn all about social media and community with us!

Here are just a few examples of what this internship will involve...

• Manage and engage with our community of millions of readers across all major social media platforms incl. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Reddit, + others.
• Craft captivating custom captions to help our content connect with the right audience.
• Support our editorial team in pushing out timely social posts optimised to each specific platform's needs.
• Develop content for platforms like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and TikTok.
• Come up with creative, innovative, and impactful social content ideas.
• Keep on top of all social analytics data to make smart content publishing decisions.
• Make swift edits to editorial/social images and videos using a range of popular editing tools.
• Create plannings and content plans to optimise our campaigns.

The perfect candidate

• Loves social media, managing online communities, and fast paced, multi-tasking roles.
• Knows their way around video and image editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects or similar tools. But mostly Photoshop.
• Confident and experienced in using the full range of popular social networks for both personal and business purposes.
• Fascinated by internet culture, viral content and tech in general.
• Enjoys keeping on top of all the latest social media tools, features and platform news.
• Is proactive in their approach to work, and a self-starter who learns fast.
• Isn’t afraid of taking on a responsibility.
• Possesses excellent communication skills, both written and oral (English language).
• Has strong editing and proofreading skills with exceptional eye for detail.
• Available full-time for 6 months.
• Is eligible to work in the Netherlands.
