Senior Sales Manager - TNW Events

As a Senior Sales Manager for TNW Events you are responsible for bringing in new sponsors and exhibitors for TNW's Flagship Conference and portfolio of events.
You will build your portfolio by reaching out to new potential partners alongside growing future key accounts by identifying additional revenue opportunities with existing clients.
You’ll meet and liaise with new sponsors and exhibitors to establish strong relationships and to help them with their event strategies to reach the right audience. You will identify their strategic marketing and event goals to translate them into an event proposal that matches their needs.
Responsibilities
Business Development
Secure high-level sponsorship and exhibition deals from global corporations, technology companies and startups
Be responsible for all stages of the commercial cycle, including: prospect identification, client consultation, proposal creation, contract negotiation and revenue processing
Create a business plan to reach out to new prospects and to build the pipeline
Prospect, pitch, and close new business in excess of annual targets
Value Selling
Create international client relationships at a senior decision-maker level
Uncover customer needs at all levels and across departments and understand their marketing and event business objectives
Sell a broad portfolio of Event products, including selling event sponsorship and exhibition space as potential solutions
Work closely with the Project Management and Customer Success teams to produce and deliver successful event campaigns for your clients
Maintain and strategically develop a number of key accounts
Keep up to date with industry trends and identify new commercial opportunities within the European tech sector
Attend and network at industry events domestically and globally
Sales Metrics
Exceed monthly activity levels and commercial targets
Generate sales revenue consistently and deliver against monthly and quarterly event targets
Use our CRM system to capture activities, manage your pipeline and keep track of account targets aligned with company objectives
Exceed monthly activity levels and targets
Take ownership in manage revenue expectations and forecasting
5+ years of proven conference, event or exhibition sales and business development experience
Experience creating revenue streams within a commercial events business through sponsorship sales
Strong value selling and relationship management skills
Proven success in negotiating contracts and closing business with a strong track record of exceeding revenue goals
Proven ability to develop high-value accounts and deliver new business against performance-related targets
Commercial awareness and ability to adapt approaches based on industry sector and job function
Knowledge of CRM software and sales performance metrics (we use HubSpot)
A confident communicator with an inquisitive mind and always eager to get in touch with new clients, results and target-oriented
Strong phone, written communication and online presentation skills
A self-starter with lots of energy and enthusiasm with an entrepreneurial mindset
A new business hunter with resilience, commercial sense
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Strong proposal writing, negotiation and client management skills
Good level of initiative, self-motivation and a proactive mindset.
Fluent English speaker (written and spoken), Dutch is a plus!
