Program Producer

Every spring, 15,000 innovators and creators make their way to the Dutch city of Amsterdam for TNW Conference: a large-scale 2-day festival experience where we bring together the world's most inspiring creators and thinkers to challenge the way we approach technology and innovation.

We are looking for an organized program producer to help us take the next edition to an unprecedented level. As part of the content team, you'll be in direct contact with some of the most inspiring and thought provoking people on the planet and make sure their experience pre-, during and post-conference is exquisite.

As a program producer at TNW Events, you will:

  • Be responsible for guiding the hundreds of speakers at TNW Conference in their preparations for the event: you'll let them know what is expected of them by when and help keep them on track throughout the process.

  • Be the content team's main point of contact at the event itself. This means you are responsible for coordinating the team of volunteers that welcome the speakers to TNW Conference and show them where they need to be. This also includes working closely with the production team back-stage to make sure they have any information they need.

  • Make sure that any logistical details have been taken care of for our speakers before they make their way to Amsterdam, including their travel and accommodation, introductions to press, and invitations to side events such as our renowned speaker dinner.

  • Support the speakers by answering any questions they might have in the lead-up to the event.

  • Add the photos and bios of confirmed speakers to the conference websiteas well as details about their talks and sessions.

  • Build personal schedules for each of the speakers and communicate those back to them.

  • Work together with different teams to get a clear time schedule together for TNW Conference and get it designed and printed in time for the event.

  • Work on a wide range of other events around the globe that we'll be organizing in the future.

  • A master of planning, able to break down long term goals into achievable smaller steps. You know how prioritise and keep a solid overview when dealing with large amounts of information. As a guardian of deadlines you understand how to get others to deliver in time.

  • Experienced producer (in events, film or otherwise), capable of managing a strict time schedule and multiple communication streams in a chaotic environment: during a 2-day conference with 17.500 attendees and hundreds of speakers around.

  • Empathetic and effective communicator: whether you’re talking to a comedian or a C-level executive of a leading tech company, you understand where the other is coming from and are able to adapt to their tone of voice. You love the challenge of delivering a message in the clearest and most exciting way possible. You're not afraid to hop on a (video) call multiple times a day if needed.

  • Highly organised and detail oriented. You enjoy reflecting on and improving your own processes, as well as keeping your to do lists and spreadsheets neat and up to date on a daily basis.

  • Team player who can lead by example. You enjoy taking initiative and responsibility, but are open to feedback and ideas from other people as well.

  • Perfect written and spoken English, as a large part of your role revolves around emailing and calling people.

  • Tech curious: many of the conversations you'll be having will revolve around the way artificial intelligence is affecting job security, or what cryptocurrency you consider to be most promising. You understand and can give examples of the latest developments in tech.

  • Since this is a junior role we're looking with someone with 1-2 years of work experience.

  • Become an invaluable part of some of the world’s most influential tech events.
  • Get to know inspiring creators and thinkers from across the globe.
  • Learn all there is to know about the digital industry and the latest technologies and trends.
  • A relaxed, informal and flexible work atmosphere at a growing company (we recently passed 100 team members at TNW).
  • Work from an inspiring workplace at our own tech hub TQ, equipped with an outdoor terrace, (coffee) bar, indoor playground, canal view, events and workshops and a hidden disco, as well as a large network of growing startups and key players in the tech ecosystem.
  • Enjoy drinks with colleagues and other TQ residents every Friday 🍸
  • Start date: January/February 2019
