As the Head of Events Sales, you will lead and grow our sponsorship and exhibition sales for TNW events, including the highly anticipated TNW Conference. With a proven track record in event sales and experience leading sales teams, you'll be responsible for developing the commercial strategy, managing the budget and revenue forecasts, and driving the overall success of our events. Reporting to the Events Director and collaborating with the events management team and other team leads, you'll create impactful partnerships and celebrate wins with the entire TNW team. Your strong communication and influencing skills will be key as you engage with prospects at all levels and foster relationships with international clients.

The role 

We’re looking for a talented Head of Events Sales to lead and grow commercial partnerships for TNW events. You should have a proven track record in leading an event sales team. Ideally, you’re assertive/confident, able to motivate, and used to working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with multiple products, regions and segments in the events industry. The main events you will be leading the commercial development of are:

You’ll be responsible for the sponsorship and exhibition sales for TNW events, including the budget, revenue forecasts and commercial strategy. Reporting to the Events Director and in regular contact with the 3 other members of the events management team, you’ll be leading the partnerships team (4 FTE) but celebrating wins with the entire TNW team. You’ll also be working closely with the other team-leads responsible for different business units within TNW including media, programs, and spaces. You’ll have the opportunity to travel occasionally to attend client meetings and relevant industry events.

Your knowledge & skills

  • Ability to communicate, present and influence at all levels of prospect organizations.
  • International mindset
  • Leadership and sales management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a competitive sales environment
  • Conceptual and creative thinking
  • 6+ years of experience demonstrated success in event sales
  • Experience selling in the B2B events/technology space
  • Passionate and compassionate people manager with 3-4 years experience in leading and scaling sales teams
  • Native or close to native level of English
