We're looking for a Head of Event Marketing who will further shape and develop our marketing strategy and plan for growth.

The role 

As our Head of Event Marketing, you will be accountable for the growth, development and management of our event strategy and TNW marketing strategy (80% events, 20% other TNW businesses). You will be responsible for continuing to build our established portfolio, identifying key target audiences, developing a fuller understanding of both market and delegate needs, and creating inbound and outbound marketing strategies that leverage this insight. You will be managing our marketing team which consists of a Digital Marketing Manager and a Copywriter/PR Manager.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to further shape and develop our marketing strategy and plan for growth. You will work closely with our Head of Growth and our Events Director and will report directly to our CEO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the marketing strategy of all TNW events (such as TNW conference, FT x TNW Digital conference). 
  • Help to bring back revenue to pre COVID-19 levels and build thereafter; Scaling our events business to new growth levels
  • To design and execute a fully developed strategic marketing communications plan that has a content-driven event value proposition at the heart of it.
  • Your plan will encompass an integrated multi-channel campaign that includes data, digital, outbound, and inbound marketing channels and techniques, to ensure that every marcomms element is deployed in the right way, at the right time to the right end-use
  • Manage the marketing team (3FTE).

Your profile

  • 8+ years of b2b marketing experience.
  • Strong event marketing experience. You lead by example and know what it takes to design and plan event marketing campaigns
  • You have an excellent understanding of event marketing and audience engagement;
  • You build strong relationships (internal/external) and use well-developed marketing skills to deliver customer-focused digital media marketing solutions
  • You are able to manage and influence senior stakeholders, both within and outside our organisation
  • You are tech savvy and have a solid understanding of the best and latest marketing technologies
  • Your skills on project direction and management are exceptional. You have the ability to manage multiple timelines, deadlines and actions in a collaborative extremely fast-paced environment
  • You are fluent in English, both verbal and in writing (speaking Dutch is a plus)
  • You are commercially driven.
