We're looking for a frontend engineer to join our team at TNW

About us 

TNW is a global digital brand that informs, inspires and connects people who love tech, through media, events, and spaces. Primarily known for its global media outlet and award-winning tech events, TNW also incorporates a tech hub label and delivers custom innovation programs to corporates and governments.

As part of the engineering team you will work to build engaging user experiences on projects spanning from our media site (headless Wordpress setup) to the more specific sites that drive people to our events and showcase our coworking communities. You will work closely with the product team to build features that have a big impact on TNW’s audience.

The role 

As a frontend developer you will help to build out TNW’s web properties and our proprietary platforms to ensure they have the trademark TNW look and feel.

We are looking for an experienced developer strong JS and/or React skills and a good eye for design to help build beautiful and reusable UI components for our media, events, and co-working sites. 

You will be responsible for building and maintaining user-facing features. You will help the Product team with scoping feature requests and estimating workloads, and fixing bugs or other issues pertaining to the properties within their responsibilities. You will collaborate with the Design team to find implementations of our design language that meets UX requirements while maintaining the quality of the codebase.


  • Take ownership of and build components and features for our web properties.
  • Translate designs into implementation while keeping best UX/UI practices in mind.
  • Work with the Product team to estimate workloads, plan delivery, and solve technical problems.
  • Help make decisions regarding the technical direction of the frontend stack with the rest of the frontend team.

Your knowledge & skills

  • 2-4 years of experience in CMS (Craft/Wordpress) development
  • Ability to write semantic HTML
  • Experience with SCSS and knowledge of CSS design patterns
  • JS (Vanilla / React)
  • Good understanding of SEO and AMP
  • Understanding of third party API’s
  • Experience with Docker and Git.
  • Experience with Typescript, PHP/Laravel, Webpack, or Tailwind CSS a plus.
