About TNW
TNW is a tech media company, founded in 2006. So far, we hosted TNW Conference for 12 years in Amsterdam and today it’s one of the most influential tech conferences globally. In this slipstream of the conference, we launched, our new site, that in 2017 keeps more than 10.000.000 people updated on tech's most fascinating stories each month. A year ago, we opened our own co-working space together with Google in the heart of Amsterdam; TQ. Last but not least, we built the startup database Index, the main data source for our projects.

I haven’t mentioned TNW X yet. X is the name of the new label of TNW. With our variety of services we help corporate brands and governments to innovate. Startups play a vital role in TNW X. That's why I want you to join X, the fastest-growing team of TNW.

The role
You’ll work with the biggest brands from all over the world that we onboard at our database Index. You match them to startups in order to innovate even faster. As a Biz Dev intern you’re running weekly Index trials with companies like Deloitte, Dell,, Google, TomTom and Philips to create opportunities for partnerships. You help us to grow and to fit it even better to needs of corporate brands. You provide input for the newsletter and you assist in the sales process for TNW X.

As part of your responsibilities, you will:

  • Support the team in improving our relationships with big brands. Everything we do is triggered by our desire to increase the satisfaction of the brands entering our programs.
  • Be responsible to assist our team during the process of scouting, reviewing and on-boarding corporate brands, as well as conducting interviews with big brands.
  • Be responsible for the online program part, including outreach, onboarding, communication with brands, customer service and more.
  • Help to keep the sales pipeline filled.
  • Help coordinate the process of connecting startups with relevant brands.
  • You'll be the point of contact for our corporate partners


  • You’re passionate about startups, business models and you have a commercial mindset.
  • Should be familiar with the corporate world
  • A good balance between team player/self-starter. You need to work cross-department to achieve a range of goals. At the same time, you need to be able to get things done even when there’s no one around to help.
  • Good understanding of (recent) developments in tech and startups, understand the role of corporate brands in the tech scene, know the tech community well and have preferably worked in tech yourself.
  • You're deeply curious about new technology and innovation and their roles in our society, work and lives. Eager to learn, adapt and perfect your work; you seek out help and put it to good use.
  • You’re organised with an eye for detail and know how to streamline large amounts of information.
  • (Almost) perfect written and spoken English.
  • Event management and writing skills are a plus.
